Admissions Testing

School Kids

Admissions testing is often required by independent schools to assess your child’s cognitive development.  This information helps school officials determine if their setting is a good fit for your child.

Schools typically request that we administer the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence-Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV) or the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fifth Edition (WISC-V), depending on your child’s age. Some independent schools request additional tests (e.g., the Woodcock-Johnson-IV; the Continuous Performance Test).

Testing is completed in one session by one of our master’s level psychology associates. We score the results immediately to provide you and your child feedback at the conclusion of your appointment.

After the session, we prepare a written report in a timely manner (i.e., one-week turnaround). Reports are sent to you and the schools at the same time.
