Focused Evaluations

We conduct focused neuropsychological evaluations for students who:

  • Have received a neuropsychological evaluation in the last two years
  • Have received a psychoeducational evaluation in the last year

The purpose of a focused evaluation is to:

  • Monitor development of specific skills
  • Monitor medication effects
  • Evaluate treatment response
  • Clarify or elaborate on the results of a previous evaluation

Such assessments may include:

  • Discussion of the student’s history and review of records
  • Communication with other professionals
  • Parents’ and teachers’ input
  • Measures of cognitive, academic, and behavioral/emotional functions
  • Discussion of results in real time
  • Preparation of a written report
