Jody Samuels, Ph.D.

Jody Samuels, Ph.D. completed both her M.A. and Ph.D. in School Psychology at the University of South Carolina. During graduate school, she specialized in the assessment and support of children with neurodevelopmental differences, including learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism. She completed her predoctoral internship in pediatric neuropsychology at Oregon Health & Science University and is currently a postdoctoral fellow in pediatric neuropsychology at the Child and Adolescent Testing Services Center at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Jody has trained in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, and private practice and previously worked as a summer extern at Dr. Daisy’s office. Before beginning graduate school, she worked at the Lab School of Washington in the elementary division supporting students with language-based learning differences and is trained in Orton-Gillingham methods of reading instruction.

Jody is passionate about helping children and teens understand and appreciate their own unique and wonderful brains. She believes that when kids understand how they think and learn best, they are more equipped to navigate challenges, advocate for their needs, and build on their strengths. When not in the office, Jody enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, tackling DIY home projects, and spending time with her two cats.
